Samsung Showcase 2005

Hello phonescoopers, my name is James and I ahve some questions for all forums crawlers out there about cell phones carriers and manufactuerers. Right now I'm am going month to month with Sprint because my contract ran out in July, with that and the approaching holidays in mind, I was wondering what some of you thought about changin carriers or staying with Sprint. J.D. Power says taht where I live (MA) Verizon or T-Mobile would be the best for call quality which is what is most important. I know Sprint is going through a merger and have teamed up with some big-name companies to provide lots of extras with their service. My question is which do phonescoopers find the best. keep in mind i would probbly not be using any of the extra download services like Verizon's GIN or Sprint's powervision, more likely to use something like a memroy car in my phone or BitPim.

Second thing now is with handsets. Right now I own a Sanyo 8100, nice little phone easy to use and straight-forward but comparing to newer phones it is very feature lacking. I was looking at phones with bluetooth (for my new car), a 1+ megapixeel camera, and an mp3 player. Now this has to be a phone first it has to make and receive good clear calls, but i am willing to pay for those extras ( in a flip or clamshell design too). I was eyeing phones from VZW's line-up (I.E. lg vx8100, samsung a950, moto e815) and some ftom T-Mobile (samsung p-735) and Sprint's as well (the yet to be released samsungs, and the a940). Since this goes hand in hand with carrier i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a phones brand. I would love to stik with Sanyo but it doesn't seem like they are interested in making BT phones at all. ALso since the holidays are fast approaching, does anyone believe it smarter to wait for some nwere phones to be released even in 1st Q of '06?? Well Iguess that's all i have to ask. Please don't light me up for sounding dumb but please feel free to nicely point out any stupid question I may have asked. thanks again.
