Horrible News For Palm

Some of these HTC patents are a stretch simply because HTC is not an OS company. Of course, this is a good example as to how an "open source" software product puts the hardware vendor at risk.

However Apple is either waiting for Palm to die (cheaper), or is going to wait until it stings the most. There's no denying Palm's WebOS flagrantly copies from a LOT of the iPhone's OS.

I hope Jeff Ruby's got some licensing agreement in the works, because I don't think Apple's going to go too easy after Palm's whole USB spat.
