It doesn't look as though anyone is thrilled that the CDMA Nexus One will be a reality soon.

Yeah, I was shocked to only see one entry in the forum.

Hopefully, it will be soon.

My niece posted to her facebook wall last night that she hated her Blackberry Storm (after 5 replacements believe it or not).

One of her friends said "sounds like it is time for an iphone"

She replied: "unless Verizon gets it, NO WAY and I going to ATT"

Good Girl. Even she knows that having an iphone on ATT network is like driving a Porche on a dirt road. 🙂

I think those Vzn "network" advertisements have all you Vzn people brainwashed.

Obviously ATT can't be that bad, they have 87+ million customers. I've been with them for over 8yrs.
So obviously they can't be that bad.I just think a lot of people like yourself are brainwashed by Vzn's marketing.

Those who are honest know that the Iphone is more of an Ipod toy than a phone, Apple doesn't make a good phone.

There are other phones that work
flawlessly on ATT.

Well all I know about is my friend that lives in Tucson who calls me at least once on a daily basis. If I had a dollar for every time the call is dropped or so garbled that I can't understand him then that would pay for my verizon bill.

When I was in Tuscon recently I also did numerous mobile speed tests with his phone and mine side by side. I ALWAYS won.

So, I am speaking from my own experience not some stupid commercial.

ATT really does suck for a lot of people.

Well it's Sprint that's bleeding customers, not ATT. 4th qtr of 09 ATT gained customers. That should speak for itself.

No need for insults, Jay. It will only make you look like an AT&T-phile defending the Mother-ship against a crusader for Verizon. What exactly is the point of all this "my carrier can beat up your carrier" nonsense on both sides? You like AT&T he likes VZW and I like Sprint. So what? If you are happy with your choice of carrier then chill out...BOTH of you. Sheesh!

Another phone manufacturer releases a phone with a full ACID3 compliant web browser, decent memory management, and the Cocoa API 🤣

iPhone's the only game in town.

cocoa api is apple, so you're saying "call me when another phone can sync with itunes (legally)

if Iphone is the only game in town, than its a piss poor game. Competition is a good thing, no matter how much you like sucking apples teet

It isn't Apple's fault the Android browser is garbage and Google's API is significantly weaker (not to mention ridiculously fragmented.)

you said a specific API, meaning you'll accept nothing but apple.

And Android's browser isn't garbage, I'll give the slight edge to the iphone, but that's only a slight edge. Once Android gets the flash plugin (which isn't a battery hog, read up on it) the Android browser will be better because I'll be able to get on Hulu.

Off topic, but here is a piece of news where Apple admits to using underage child labor and otherwise cutting illegal corners: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/apple/7 330986/Apple-admits-using-child-labour.html

The experience of the iPhone on AT&T's network is better than any [insert VZW phone here] on Verizon's network.

Quite honestly, aside from the growing pains they had back in the fall their network's been dead reliable as of recent, and fast as hell too.

Their 3G network is twice as fast as Verizon's, which has been suffering due to low backhaul capacity.

Actually if you look at the comparison of the iphone to the Droid (average download speeds) they are neck and neck.

You're looking at aircard speeds
...
Menno

Feb 27, 2010, 7:44 PM
again, you are looking at Aircards. Look at the actual report. Droid and Iphone download speeds were VERY similar.

within 200kbs. And their Droid looks defective because I've never heard of anyone with a smartphone getting upload speeds that low.

Because people are finally realizing that it is a phone sold by google not verizon... you wouldn't believe how many pissed off people there are on verizon's facebook page about not being able to scream at customer service for a bigger discount on it.

I find it amusing.

Appearently people are too dump-fk to know that there are TWO different prices in this world, the 2yr price, and the retail price.

I swear if I could afford to, I would pay retail for an Android smartphone. But I am just way, way too adamant about getting out of debt ASAP to be throwing down $500+.

If you look at PhoneArena.com, you will see NexusOne CDMA coming in Spring 2010 and HTC Incredible without any ETA. Also, on Engadget.com you can see that NexusOne may arrive to Verizon around March 23.
