So the back of this phone has the keyboard exposed when the flip is closed?

If so that's ugly!!!

Actually it looks exactly like a CLIQ. The only difference is the keyboard which looks like a dramatic improvement over the CLIQ. The form factor is different but if this phone is ugly, then the CLIQ is as well. The only issue I see is how well attached are the keys on the keyboard. Everybody knows of Moto's quality issues on past and present handsets (CLIQ included). Hopefully the fit and finish is flawless or a lot of people will be missing keys after a couple of drops.

It pretty much means you can't use any sort of shell or skin to protect the back of the phone.

It would make more sense if it flipped and rotated.

I suppose with touchscreen smartphones, there isn't a lot that can really be done from a design sense to make a phone stand out. The size of the screen pretty much limits the options.

Yep! I wonder who would buy this dorky arse looking phone.

Well at least there will be other Android phones coming out from ATT.

It is kinda ugly when the keys are lit up. But when it is actually folded back and the keys aren't lit up, it doesn't look half bad. Not pretty, but the keys are flush enough to make it look like they are an artistic choice instead of a keyboard.
