i don't see why cingular would pick this one up if it didn't support UMTS850 band. That said, i hope they also manage HSDPA b4 US release, too. I'd even be willing to wait a few more months for it. I was really thinking the 6280 would be my next phone, until i saw the N80 with it's specs

I want! I am thinking that this will definatly be my next phone. I am not a slider fan, but I think I am going to like this one. And I've been looking for my next nokia, and this is it. And, if it comes out 1st quater, it's should just be in time for me to be eligible for subsidized pricing.

never had a slider, but this or the 6280 would be a nice start.

it will be my next phone regardless whether cingular pick it up or not. it is quad band gsm, edge bluetooth etc... umts 1900/2100 - what i was waiting for from Nokia-. i will only purchase an unlocked version. as a former at&t customer, currently w/o a cingular contract an unlocked phone is my preference.
cingular plans to use at&t 1900 gsm bandwidth which they acquired from the purchase of at&t for data only and gsm 850 for phone calls.

Thanks.

Expect to spread around some of your hard earned cash. This puppy won't be cheap unlocked.

My understanding is it'll be an either/or thing, not both bands. US version will get the one with 1900 MHz band.
