The new update is for any phone that runs Android 2.0 and above. So, it also applies to the Nexus One which runs 2.1.

Since most of the Android world knows that the Nexus got the update already phonescoop is right on. You on the other hand, KNOWS NOT

well...considering the N1 has already been updated and the Droid is the only other 2.0 handset, it seems obvious the update would apply for the Droid since only 2.0 has mt implemented, right?

Yes, this Maps update applies to many phones, but this bit about the Droid is news-worthy (in our humble opinion) since the Droid shipped without any multi-touch and that was a major complaint some people had with it.

So Rich, would you think it's safe to assume that -ALL- Android 2.1 and newer smartphones that come out will have multi-touch in the photo gallery, web browser, and maps from now on?
