Excuse me for making sense, but shouldn't the optical trackpad be in the bottom center? Rather than bottom left.

It iss odd. I can only assume they're making it more convenient when using the keyboard. Perhaps they have some research that shows the pad is used more in concert with the keyboard. People might just use the touch screen and bypass the pad altogether when the keyboard is closed.

As I said it was only a guess. I have the Samsung Moment, with the trackpad in the middle. If the trackpad were lower, it would be more convenient when the keyboard's open. However, I like having the real call and end buttons as well.
I definitely like the trackpad to scroll around because sometimes scrolling with the touch screen leads to selecting something I didn't intend to.

not at all. the lip is really handy when trying to flip phone around with one hand (going from landscape to vertical) at least for me
And blue won't truly like anything without an apple logo.

I'm not positive, but I do have a feeling that my Android smartphone is going to be an HTC, the Motorola Backflip doesn't appeal to me.
