Nokia's doing this because they can't make money off of their own patents. Also because Nokia hasn't really innovated for the past 10 years and has plummeting market share, profit share, and just about any metric of company health.

What will likely happen is Europe will likely get mad that a U.S. company is making money and will attempt to tax it or find it in violation of some BS patent. That's how European companies remain competitive.

What wonderful times we seem to have together, you and I...

You just can't seem to get it into your head that there are alot of people who swear by Nokia products. And yet you said in your very own words that you loved Nokia's at one time; I don't see it at all. You are clearly either a Nokia-hater, or an Ap...

There are people who swear by Ubuntu too, and people who swear by Yugos too. Doesn't mean they're good products.

Yeah, I suppose it could be argued that Yugo fans exist, but there aren't too many of them. Nokia fans happen to be a really big crowd, especially overseas.

In a free market system, the consumers buy what they think is best suited for their needs. If you see alot of people buying a certain product, it is most likely because it has desirable qualities and is a good value.

I have never had a bad Nokia. I will continue to buy Nokia products, and I will continue to recommend them, not all of them, but many of them. Every company makes a bad apple once in a while, and Nokia is no exception; but I've never had one of the bad ones, and I've owned five of them so far. I have owned other phones, but they have never been as great as my Noki...

I'm not saying Nokia's on the verge of death. They're well past the verge of irrelevance. Every single Nokia smartphone out right now isn't worth the price.

Then don't buy them. It's a free society so go buy whatever it is that your little heart desires... but don't sit here and say that Nokia is irrelevant because you are plain wrong sir...

Well, that's your opinion only. There are millions of people in the world who vote with their money by buying a new Nokia regardless of the price.

Just because you don't buy Nokia products doesn't make them irrelevant. Also, no one is forcing you to buy their product, so you too can "vote with your dollars" by buying other products from other companies.

I personally find my Nokia smartphones to be worth every single penny I paid for them...

Ya know... none of this really matters. Nokia is claiming that Apple is making money by using it's patents and technology. No matter what the coyote says about Nokia, they have a right to not let people $%^& them. If it's proven that Apple ripped them off, then Apple should have to pay for it. Period. Obviously, this guy just hates Nokia.

Jay, you may not have been born when Yugos were being manufactured. A horrible car that makes a Kia seem like a Lexus. Google it.

I think they just don't like the fact that a company is stealing from them and is refusing to pay them for what is rightfully theirs. Otehrwise they are doing just fine without any lawsuits.
