Way to jump on the bandwagon after the fact VZW. After two of the smaller networks in the USA gives calls to Haiti free for a week then they say oh we look really bad still charging for this huh!?

Its just like their unlimited plan, it took them a whole 4 months to jump on the T-Mobile bandwagon just like they did with the my-faves except that took them 2 years. No copying there. 🙄

Verizon did wait, true. However, they're making this change RETROACTIVE. This will take care of the "waiting issue". And incidentally, this is a GOOD thing. ATT has yet to do this. I would say helping the people in Haiti is a good kind of copying the wireless carriers should ALL do. 😉

yeah, because verizon really cares what those little piss ant wannabe carriers do (who are MVNO's btw). Did those other companies say you can call to AND from Haiti for free? including landline? Oh yeah, thats right, you can't use their service when you travel outside of the county, let alone the country.

If Verizon doesn't acquire Alltel they probably never would have offered Friends and Family. I would not be surprised to see them discontinue it down the road.
