What the heck is this Mobile Hot Spot Application and why is it $10 more than the normal Broadband Connect feature? Is it unlimited are 5GB? If it is 5GB then that is a frickin' rip off!

And THATS VZW! Congrats you win a cookie 😁
...
cookie prize subject to change without notice by VZW. Verizon reserves the right to change your cookie for something of equal or lesser value...say a cookie crumb. Prize cannot be redeemed outside of the USA sorry no Canadians even though you still here the same commercial on your radios and tv's. Not valid in CA, or TN cause for some reason those 2 states have messed up rules and tax issues. 😁
...
Wait.... Why are you taking my cookie back?!? 😳 Let go!! I don't want a stupid bagel! 😡
...
The bagel also has an additional monthly fee attached to it.

it turns your phone into a wifi hotspot. I agree the added cost is stupid.. but yea
...
My phone does it at no extra cost, ha, ha!

Before these phones were introduced, in order to have a Mobile Hotspot, you would have had to purchase a Mifi device and be on a 2 year contract and risk paying an ETF if you wanted to cancel before the contract was met. Now instead of having to add another line to your account and be on a contract, it's just a feature that can be added and removed at anytime without any type of ETF...

Yes, but the MiFi data plan is still $59.99 just as any data card or USB modem. When one has a smart phone or PDA with a data plan $59.99 is still the data end point i.e. if one has the $29.99 email and web plan to tether they charge an additional $30 whereas if one has the $44.99 Unlimited PDA or Berry plan then they charge $15 to tether. This is a stab in the back by VZW which lately has been par for the course, I suppose.

Yes, but you can't use your blackberry, droid, or windows phone as a wifi hotspot and connect up to 5 devices to it, can you? 🤣
...
My WinMo (TP2) can, but I can't speak for yours, so can the Sprint Pre for no monthly fee. I'd be willing to bet if Android doesn't have one yet, it will soon as well.
Also with WinMo I can torrent straight onto my device at a pretty decent speed (170 MB discography in about 25 minutes ain't bad) and even better will be a WiMAX WinMo device that will let me torrent at 3-6 mb/s.
Anything else you'd like debunked?

Man, I swear. The logic is so flawed. The point is: If the MiFi isn't an extra $10 bucks over other data cards then there is no need for these Palms to be $10 more than other smartphones as relates to tethering ESPECIALLY if held to the same 5GB cap. Dude is stepping on my last nerve with this Verizon ra-ra ish.
...
Understandable. I hate to say it but no company has a really "good" answer for mobile tethering... however some crafty home-brewers do.
I'll stick with MyTether.
...
"I'll stick with MyTether."
word!
and $70 for just talk and data? hmmm why not go 69.99 for unlimited data, messaging, unlmiited calls to cell phones and 450 to landlines during primetime?
...
I agree. Sprint does have some good deals.
The big thing is making sure you get your discount applied if you get one (fricken everyone does). Burger King and McDonalds even get discounts...
...
dude, get off the VZW band wagon. you pay for their fantastic advertsing. and thats it. try sprint with an open mind. you might be suprised.
