Unlike the USCC plans, the Verizon unlimited plan offers text messaging for $20 more ($89.99). I should mention that according to the USCC website, the unlimited plan only applies to the national plans, and not Wide Area plans.

Um actually they always offer text plans you can add and subtract from your voice plan. We do not bundle plans together but allow the consumer the flexibility to add what text/pic package THEY need. So u can get unlimited national min and text for 89.94 actually cheaper the vzw and if you don't need unlimited u can get 750 outgoing msg w free incoming and unlimited voice for 79.94

It makes sense since minutes of use have been steadily dropping. Why not get $70.00 per month when you were only getting $60.00 before. Your costs don't change but you have increased ARPU. It is a good move. It severely blunts the sword of Cricket and Boost. My customers are not forced to choose between value and network performance, which would include coverage.
