A lot of people don't know that the $60 unlimited for talk and text exists. I've never seen it advertised and I only informed my family members about it because I read forums that told me about it.

The "no required data plan" means that I can use any smartphone I want without being forced to give AT&T an extra $30/month or $360/year. That's a lot money back in my pocket to buy the next new phone that I want.

As a parent I prefer prepaid for my kids and if they talk too much or text too much I don't have to worry about a HUGE bill next month. Same with downloads and other operator related stuff. I want to minimize my costs and I've NEVER had a problem with AT&T coverage in my 6 years on prepaid and I've travelled up and down the east coast many times. That's just me. I even got coverage in the carribean which was very weird and very expensive.
