So much for getting a new phone!

No way am I going to get a fancy new phone now. My old plan, now month-to-month, is much cheaper. If I were to be looking around now, I would go with a prepaid and be done with it. This is ridiculous.

Got a discount for being a govt employee, split 700 min between two phones, unlimited nights and weekends, unlimited m2m, 200 texts each line, unlimited calls to any at&t land line.

that plan should still exist... these plans are for unlimited calling only

They do still exist. Your old plans aren't going away. These are changes to existing unlimited plans.
