Quick Messaging Device customers may choose unlimited talk and text for $89.99 per month. Quick Messaging Device customers with Family Talk plans may choose unlimited talk and text for $149.99 per month (for two lines). These prices include a required minimum of $20 per month for individual plans and $30 per month for Family Talk plans in texting and/or Web browsing plans for new and upgrading customers.

Choose one or the other is better than what verizon is doing? Is that how you all read it? Plus no cap on dumbphone data.

so they are outright requiring unlimited plans on texting phones now? still waiting for some clarity with that.. still makes a heck of a lot more sense than 30 data for dumbphones.

That's what is says. I would take that over $10 for 25MB...at least with ATT you get some kind of choice txt or unlimited data.

Should be interesting to see what happens. I still don't think we've seen the end of the changes.

tmobile is apparently lowering their phone costs.

I really don't see them needing to lower their per month costs.. I think they should say something like:

"Recently verizon/att slashed their unlimited prices to ____ this is a decrease of almost x% their current bill, saving a customer ____ over two years. We're still cheaper"

(Sprint can use this idea if they give me some money.. if they use it and don't give me money I'll sic Kosh on them)

No. I didn't know what you meant by Kosh either but still found humor in it.

What's Angry Vorlon?

My Gravatar is a char. named Londo Malari from Babylon 5. A vorlon was one of the most powerful races in the galaxy. They kinda shot you through with Lightning when they got angry.

Apparently I'm the only person on the site who watched the show ☹️

Yeah. My understanding was that if one did not watch the show from the beginning one would be basically lost.

Ah, I don't think we'll see any more changes til maybe the 3rd qtr, don't ask me why I think the 3rd qtr, I'm just making up a guess. Who knows maybe Sprint will shake things up some with a WiMAX smartphone, or Verizon will shake things up with whatever their data plan structure ends up being for LTE. But I predict the next changes won't be until the 3rd qtr.

Thing is though consumers aren't very smart people, I don't think a lot of people actually shop around, and thoroughly compare.

I cant be 100% sure on this but I believe they're requiring unl text on messaging phones if you get the unl talk plan. Unless things change on monday, I can still activate a messaging phone on a 450 minute plan with limited text.
