Now I need to find some dancing shoes...

Hopefully this means that people will start competing again instead of just saying (we have cooler phones, come here)

ATT doesn't compete, they are letting Verizon win the data speed war, because they lack ambition with LTE! So as far as I'm concerned, when it comes to data, ATT doesn't compete. Heck even Tmo is going ahead of ATT with HSPA 7.2, and supposedly HSPA+ in a little bit, whenever that ends up going national.

I agree the LTE roadmap for att hasn't been forthcoming but its there. They are testing in Dallas. Plus att has HSPA in Dallas at 7.2Mbps. They are not competing but they do have some pieces in place.

I expect that one day at$t will just roll out LTE one day.

I doubt that. They still only offer 3g on a fraction of their voice network. ATTs biggest issue (imo) is that they are so focused on being the "fastest" that most of their network doesn't benefit from better speeds until they are obsolete

Actually, he is an ATT customer that speaks some truth. Jay has been dedicated to ATT and his frustration with their lack of progress, emits a certain relevance to the issue. He simply would like change in the network status from ATT like the other 45 percent or more of their irrate subscribers. I personally am staying away from that neighborhood until more than subtle changes emerge.

Anybody can change price plans, but ATT needs to deliver more than wet dreams. Like it or not Sprint and VZW are going to be ahead in the 4G arena and will be the only 2 choices until catch up is played. ATT is a huge company and I am surprised at how they have fallin behind. True that faster 3G maybe sufficient, but that will change very quickly as 4G is a...

Dude... you can make anything with salt and pepper.. who needs that newfangled Paprika?
😁

I agree... Verizon, Tmobile, sprint, etc are all actively changing (some things not positively, but you know) att is sitting back there saying "hey everyone look! we STILL have the iphone, ain't it great?"

It's like someone selling Platinum horseshoes when Henry Ford is selling cars.

Agreed. ATT's roadmap for success seems to be "Snag the iphone exclusivity". And it pretty much stops there. The rest of their roadmap to success involves reacting to Verizon's proactive approach to business. For example, Verizon Points out limited ATT 3G coverage, but instead of ATT already being out front and pointing out how they are improving this and spending money and effort to grow it, they react to the add with some dumb stuff about rollover minutes. Again, Verizon proactively introduces Unlimted Calling Plans. And again, ATT reacts to it by cloning their own version. And now, once again, Verizon proactively creates some aggressive newly priced plan options... and ATT reacts. How's that iphone exclusivity thing holdin' up, gu...

You've got a point about the stupid rollover thing, because if a plan is unlimited, well then, rollover isn't even necessary. But that's only beneficial on either single, or 2-line accountsl. I have 3-lines on ATT, so none of these new unlimited plans benefit me!!! Kinda sucks!

Well... they're always revamping plans. I'm sure there will be other plans down the road. It's just annoying to watch one company continuously mirror another without coming up with anything more imaginitive to offer. This is why hollywood is bereft of creativity and why we all live in sequel hell.

Not only sequal hell, as you say, but there have been a whole, whole lot of prequals in recent history also. Heck if I like a movie, I don't mind seeing more.

Uh huh. AT&T doesn't want to lose any more revenue than necessary. Verizon always does this. Friends and Family...A List. Unlimited offerings for $99.99 in Feb 08...AT&T same day match. Verizon has these grandiose ideas and they try to fire their employees up with slogans like "Taking the Biggest to Best" and such nonsense. Meanwhile AT&T is content to just make money selling air. They would never make changes as long as they are making money and I can't say that I blame them. It's easy for broke nobodies like myself to say that AT&T should spend money.
