Fellow phone scoopers, remember when responding, I DON'T work in the wireless industry, I'm not brainwashed by a corporation, I am a CONSUMER.
Since you are just a consumer and not brainwashed like the rest of us...let me explain this to you. They are not charging you more for voice because your using a messaging phone or a data phone. What the wireless industry likes to do is bundle plans. The reason why theyre charging you $20 more for the messaging phone is for the required text plan. The voice plan is still the same amount.
with regards to Tmo being so much cheaper for the "same thing". It is not the same thing. There are parts of the country where Tmo has very good coverage, but for the majority of the country they dont have the same coverage as say verizon and at&t. Sometimes you get what you pay for.
