It think it would be worth paying the $500+ to get this unlocked just to avoid this nonsense.

Without a doubt. If you want the N1, in my opinion, just bit the bullet, the termination fee's between TMO and Google are just too high.

And before anyone gets on this well, you signed and this and that, in life bad things happen to good people, people who would honestly went into this wanting to honor the contract and conditions, life changes, loss of job, families expand, less money coming in. $700 plus when all is aid and done to leave is way past sanity. (I'm including the cost of the phone).

I also think the reasoning behind this, is the phone hasn't sold as expected, the G1 and Droid outsold it significantly in the first week. And I understand there are many factors, some doing to it being on a smaller carrier, some being cost. Some being its not available through retail channels in TMO stores. Some with 3g/edge issues. All in all this is in my opinion at this time the best phone out. And this price adjustment is a good idea.


Damned I wish it has NAM 3g so I can use it on AT&T, I'd get it.
