Here is why Sprint should be reconsidered...

There are many bashing Sprint but consider these facts:

1) Sprint's plans are still the best in value
2) CDMA proven for best call quality
3) Customer service now tied with VZW
4) Much improved device selection
5) First and currently only 4G.

And Lastly: Whether Sprint has a bad reputation or not, Sprint is aware of their past bad reputation and is motivated for new subscribers. In my experience as a consumer, I find this the most attractive and best reason for willing to try a company. This has led to my best experiences. Companies that want, work and yes,NEED to win you, generally accomplish someones expectations. I relunctantly gave them a second chance and they have done cartwheels, handstands, acrobatics to make sure I am happ...

You have a point, Sprint now isn't the same nasty assed company with a good network it was several years ago. Recently a co-worker went to them and she is very happy with what her family has. Do I think Sprint is as good as VZW all over, no. Do I think they provide good service, yes.

Similar to my feelings with TMO, do I think its as bad in coverage is what people bitch about here, no, I don't, do I think it has as good coverage as AT&T no. In my case with corporate discounts, TMO would actually cost me more then what I get with AT&T. And even so, I don't think either is a bad choice. What excites me about TMO, even if I don't use them, is their support for Android, I hope AT&T approaches this, seems they are starting, but only t...

You are so right in your statements. What I like, is the new focus of Sprint as a company. It is so hard to regain a reputation after it has been lost. Sprint's commitment to new trends is what helped them possess a number one status at one time. Their new commitment to Android appears to be very solid as well and with choice of new devices? Awesome. Re-tuning the way their TV service is delivered to a sub, is looking very promising, and their CS, is far above the crap it was not too long ago. They may never be number one again, but anyone denouncing Sprint at this juncture, is nothing short of ignorant. This is one case where a second chance should be respectfully given.

Your post resounds with the echo of truth to me. Sprint works very well for me and the customer service has become very good. Opinions are one thing, facts are another. These price plans are only a bargain if you're currently with Verizon and already paying for higher price plans.

I have family members employed by VZW, so to completely ridicule VZW, would not be in the best interest of myself or them. However, VZW is a good carrier, the point I try to make in my arguments is that most subs are buying into carriers because of the certain reputation the carrier has sheeple marketed. I find that roughly close to 35 percent of wireless customers do not need the full coverage VZW offers. That is where a better value should come in but doesn't because they have been fed a belief that there is nothing else. As much as I fully support Sprint, they need to step the game up for attracting new subs to their much improved all around network. Sprint's marketing adaptation is lacking which is not helping their upgraded profile.

Lol.. getting bill credits is EASY as long as their is a reason for them

If you're calling in for them to give you a credit for something you did wrong, why should they honor it?

CDMA does have better call quality than GSM.

CDMA not only has better call quality, but the higher frequency of Sprint's tranfer, has made people think I am on a landline. However, the trade off is building penetration which VZW is better at. But realistically, I have had minimal issues.

To be honest, I think many would feel that way about any carrier or at least the ones that could see the long term customer beneficial factor. Fortunately, I am happy enough with my carrier at this point to keep signing the bottom line.

Long story short, no.

The plan requires the contract, not the subsidy on the phone. If you come in and start service you will sign a contract, even if you bring your own equipment. After you're out of THAT contract, you can go and buy whatever phone at retail and keep the same plan and never sign again.

Boost is the "answer" that Sprint has for that. That's why they brought CDMA handsets onto the Boost Unlimited plans. BB curve is only 60 a month all you can eat everything, or 50 for a penny flip phone.

I really don't think that Sprint is better then Verizon. I know that they have a better pricing plan as far as the talk time, data, and text message together goes. But what about the drop calls that there customers get. My son has Sprint and everytime I talk to him he gets a dropped call when he calls me and I am on a land line (so don't even try to say it is my service provider). So with that you need to have unlimited calling to have Sprint Service because you would waste a lot of minutes with dropped calls. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Actually, I didn't say Sprint was better. I said they have the best calling plan "Value" out of the big four. For what you get for the money under the improved Sprint, it is the best bargain.

As far as dropped calls, I would not have said it was your phone because I know the differences of how the frequencies between VZW and Sprint transmit. However, VZW does experience dropped calls(Fewer but it does happen). Radio signals are like that unfortunately. I have actually been places that have had no VZW but plenty of Sprint. If you absolutely need coverage in every part of elbow room(which I don't need), VZW is king. But my point is, Sprint has changed and is worth alot more than most have given them credit for.

Well your son should stop calling you from the basement ๐Ÿ˜ All kidding aside, everyone has 30 or so to try their service regardless of mapped coverage. It may be spotty wherever he calls you from but he's still with Sprint right? Now if someone spent their life criss crossing the nation with phone service from all major carriers constantly checking coverage and quality I would take them seriously. But I find that most complainers spend a significant amount of time either at work, at home, or a daily commute that happens to experience a dead or weak spot and then trash the whole network ๐Ÿคจ
