There's no mention of unlimited Data.

The new pricing appears to be $10 less than the current price of the 1350 minute plan and $10 more than the 900 minute plan. Will the pricing of the 450 and 900 minute plans be affected. I'm guessing they're hoping a lot of 900 minute customers will opt to pay the extra $10 for unlimited.

That's because they're getting rid of unlimited data. Apparently, they weren't making enough money with their unlimited data plans, so they're charing per Megabyte now.

Spent more, get less. Welcome to the new Verizon.

No, unlimited data will be there. It will be 29.99, you may as well go ahead and get a PDA/BlackBerry.

Let me get this right, previous unlimited data plans on VZW with feature phones was $10 to $!5 depending on added features, and now its $30, and you guys think this is a good thing?? As VZW611LA said previous, might as well as get a PDA/Blackberry.

Menno

The OP was talking about voice I think.

The data charges confuse me.. specifically because there is no reason for someone not to get a Droid/berry now if they intend on surfing the net. While this sounds like a "great" selling point it's just going to push more people from data.

I loved the old vcast plan because it was so easy to upsell to a smartphone (and that's when we had only blackberries in the store). "for 15 more you can get a full smartphone!" it got people hooked on mobile data. I don't see these new plans doing that.

Yup thats probably the thought.
And who said anything about unlimited data...Verizon can't handle that anyway from what I hear...lol.
Folks I am with Verizon because I use my phone as a...gasp...phone.
Unlimited minutes would be nice. Was thinking about paying the extra 20 anyway, now all I have to pay is 10. Win/win
