That new unlimited 2-line

I concur. 18 April 2010 could be my day to break free.

The latest was today's explanation that if a pic message is too large the overage is charged as data. So the 75 cents or whatever they charge isn't enough. I get hit with the $1.99 charge for several hundred kilobytes (at most).

As long as this subsidy/contract system predominates it is unlike to improve much. If the GSM carriers could cover more rural areas things would change in a couple of years. When I worked at VZW... Strigl(CEO at the time) pointed that out.

My favorite is when they professionally tell you to take it or leave it. Someone used the term "fleece" and I think that was pretty accurate.

$79.99 unlimited T-Mo with 2 phones.

Old VZW phone on page plus in...

Ya know the way the economy is, and people counting dollars more closely, maybe, just maybe there are a whole lot more people out there like you, who want value.

Sorry, but thats a vapor excuse. Because even if there were as many "unlocked" CDMA phones as there were GSM phones, people would still buy the ones offered by the carriers.

People smart enough to buy unsubsidized phones is (sadly) in the slim minority.

Sounds like you had an idiot rep. What type of phone do you have? Dumb phones include National Enhanced Service at no charge so there is no data transport charge for pix/flix.

What's the National Enhanced Service?
...
Azeron

Jan 14, 2010, 12:16 AM
It's a feature that is included on dumb phones which allows data transport for pix and flix also things like VZ navigator etc... On smartphones one has to have a data plan usually Unlimited Email and Web and on phones like the Rogue the new required data plans.

Transport pix & flix? Isn't that what memory cards are for?
...
Azeron

Jan 14, 2010, 12:22 AM
No. When you send or receive a pic it has to be transported across the network. This feature allows it. Unless things have really changed over there what the poster says he/she was told should not be true.

She claimed it is in the T & C . and legit. I knew not to argue anymore after that. I did sign the T & C you know? You know that book you can ask for. You sign the contract on the capture pad and they hand you a book. I guess I should consult an attorney before signing for cell phone service.

I try to be responsible and prudent in my personal and biz dealings. The common theme I see is larger companies that I don't technically have to deal with, but pretty close. These same companies get away with cust. abuses.

They are killing the goose that lays the eggs. If they continue, the political opportunists will mop the floor with them.

You're an ex-employee too. You never did detail what phone you have that you incurred this charge on. Also are you aware that once your contract is up you can keep your current equipment and port your number (s) to Page Plus and get Unlimited Talk and Text for $39.99 per line? Then you would have Verizon coverage at $80 monthly savings with no contract.

Doesn't sound like trolling to me. It sounds like a customer who is fed up with getting screwed over by Verizon. There seems to be a growing number of them. People are watching their dollars a lot more closely now.

Really? No really? So he/she is no longer a Verizon customer because he/she had the common sense to escape Verizon's higher prices and poor customer service and go to T-Mobile. So...why is he/she still here? I mean, I would hate to see how this person behaves after a break up. Going to the ex-mate's job and bad-mouth him/her to co-workers? Or call or visit the new love interest and give them the low down on why the ex-mate is a terrible choice?

Right. This article is ALL about new phones coming to T-Mobile. You are a troll. You're not even with Verizon any longer and yet you still feel the need to come here and bore us with your whining. If you want to know about new phones for T-Mobile...there is a forum for that.

Not to be rude, but that's what the internet is for...sharing opinions. Look at the other news posts in this site. Heck, even take a look in the forums for each and every single carrier. ANYWHERE on the Internet. This opinion-sharing happens all the time. He has every right to be here and share his opinion just as much as you do. You like Verizon, he hates Verizon. End of story. Don't get bent out of shape over such a small thing. Let him share his opinion, acknowledge his opinion, and move on. 🙂

He can share his opinions, but he is still a troll. That's my opinion. Get over it. I don't like Verizon anymore than he does and since I am still under contract and paying them $250 per month probably less so. That being said when some guy is just posting nonsense when one has no idea what he is even doing here...he is a troll. It's a free Internet. I said he was incredibly bitter...not get out now. Read!
