We have conference calls Thursday and Friday detailing the new Verizon plans that are coming out this Sunday. Everything is hush hush so I dont have any details.

When I see this article, I just HAVE to wonder if it is any foreshawdowing into whats about to hit Sunday. I love Verizon and we are the overall number one Cellular company, but I have always had a major distaste for forcing people to get a data package like they did with the Env Touch and Samsung Rogue for at least $10 a month. Now they are going to force it on phones that dont even have a full web browser like the Env3, Moto Rival etc., Its bullcrap. If my customers dont want web, I block it. The whole forcing is rediculous.

The plans/changes coming out are supposed to...

AT&T and T-Mobile matched Unlimited the same day and Sprint launched Simply Everything the next week. Someone always leaks the info. Let me check BGR...

all I can confirm is that something is changing, and that the data part of it is nowhere near all of it.. that's all he'll say. I dont work for verizon anymore, so I don't want him to risk anything by telling me early

ETF is changing? Any more information on that? Also, according to Boy Genius Verizon plans on making mandatory data plans on all 3g devices. I'd assume this would be included in that meeting.

Ummmm...I do. What they do affects me as I still have two lines under contract with them.

I care as well. I am an AT&T customer for my personal line but pay for a dozen lines for my employees because Verizon gives the same service at a larger discount. If I'm forced to pay an additional ten bucks per line my bill goes up by 120+ dollars and is no longer the better bargain.

If they change their plans on you, just leave? Bye, no ETF etc.. But they won't, this is for new contracts.

Ok..heres the best part of the changes taking effect Monday. Unlimited Minute plans go from 99.99 to 69.99. You can get 2 lines unlimited on a 'share' plan for $119.99. You can add a 3rd 4th and 5th Unlimited Share line for $49.99 after that. Pretty good for those that use alot and small companies. The data is changing on regular phones but im not going into all of that atm. Unlimited PDA/Blackberries/Droid data plans still 29.99 unlimited and Aircards are staying the same for now.

Yeah give us the cheery news. The new Unlimited options are GREAT! Mandatory data on dumbphones like the VX-8360 is HORRIBLE!

Lowell deserves a swift kick in the *BLEEP* for this little caper. I can't believe some dude was crowing in the forum about Verizon not being greedy. This is their answer to those phantom $1.99 MB charges they have been unable to explain. Force data plans on customers so those accidental key-presses are covered.
