switch a PTT conversation to a standard voice call?

Does anyone know where that statment came from. Nothing in the user guide and we have never been told about this at work.

The following is copied directly from the i680 user guide on Motorola's website:

"Making a Phone Call While in a Direct Connect Call:
Pressing the Send key while in an active Direct Connect lets you initiate a phone call to the other person if their mobile phone number is stored in Contacts.
1. While in a Direct Connect conversation press Send (you will see a "Start Call To:" prompt.)
2. Press Yes (left softkey) or press OK to switch from the Direct Connect call to a phone call."

I don't know what the Nextel user guide says, but the Motorola user guide is perfectly clear on that feature. In the Moto guide that section is under the following headings in the table of contents:
Making & Answering Phone Calls > Phone Calls > Making a P...

but this shows how to use a call waiting like feature. I took the art to be in a DC convo and change it to a cell call so no PTT needed.

I think the Moto user guide is referring to converting the DC call into a regular cellular call. It's not a call-waiting thing, it's a "convert the call from a DC session to a cellular call and close out the initial DC session" kind of thing.
