Should have put a device that needs this much 3G coverage on Sprint or Verizon
...
You sir, are an idiot.
If you read the article or did any amount of diggin at all, you'd have seen that this is not a network issue, but a device issue.
...
There are a lot of people on Phone Scoop who are brainwashed and think every network other than Verizon is crap. It's sad how many fan boys there are out there.

At the same time, Verizon is infamous for stress testing smartphones for connectivity. You can knock their phone selection and policies all you want, but the one thing they are good at is sending new devices through their paces.

Well...except for the Silver Q and the Storm...

Can't speak for the Q. But I did know quite a few people who liked it.. but then again, a lot of people like walking on coals
It was actually a security flaw that caused the mixup with the storm. They were all set to launch the device (with a software version similar to what they launched calling it 4.7) when there was some flaw discovered that would make the phone not play nice with BES. So they rolled back the software version. (this also caused the bottle neck supply since they had to update every phone..they were planning to have a lot more of the device available)
So they rolled the software back to a version of the OS that was "stable" security wise but sucked for speed. the Storm launch was a flop, but remember the phone p...

You're crazy. T-Mobile didn't make the phone. HTC made it, while Google gave them the blueprint. T-Mobile is in this, because it supports their 3G network.
If another 3G phone from T-Mobile works with 1 to full 3G bars, while the Nexus One doesn't pick up 3G, or has a lower bar count, then the phone either has a hardware radio issue, software issue, or both.

Some people are just clueless..
...
dude, he said nothing about issues. he said coverage. and im not a fanboy of VZW. i just think you mis-read that.
...
T-Mobile's 3G network currently covers more than 200mil people. 🤣
...
While i acknowledge that these problems aren't T-mobile's fault, I do agree that a phone like this would be better utilized on a network with a larger 3G area..like Sprint and Verizon.
...
Ok, ignorant of the issue I am; ignorant of a better 3G network I am not.. Sprint or Verizon hands down has a MUCH MUCH better network for a device like this, sir.
...
How do you know? Did you build their network or take part in inventing the technology? 🤣
...
agreed. i love my pre, but im waiting on a truly great andriod to land on sprint's network.
