I seem to be the only one who thinks 4.3 inches is way, way too big for something that's suppose to be mobile & pocketable.

ya know the way htcs been making wm phones recently they arent bad at all and with the device specs of the hd2 it could be one of the best ones to date, wm as an os does have one really nice benefit imo and thats easy homebrew programs and also relatively easy to program for, i am in no way wanting an argument over the superiority of one os over another just dont agree with the lambasting of one just because someones a fan of another

I wasn't bashing WinMo, just saying that the screen is about half an inch too big for something that's suppose to be mobile and portable that's all. But the HD2 is definetly one beast of a phone that's for sure! And I'm glad to see such a phone come stateside.

OMG-so am I 😁 I can't wait for Vz to get their version, I hear it's going to be Droid. The reviews in Europe are all pretty good. One reviewer said it has left the world of phones and is entering the realm of netbooks-lol.

While it is unfortunate many people feel the same way as you, I have found myself to not be able to part with WinMo. As a matter of fact, I patiently await WinMo 7. To love WinMo, is to know it's power and capabilities. I have not found anything to compare to the closest PC experience. My HTC Touch Pro 2, is indispensible. Many find WinMo cumbersome and "Laggy". And with a 1G processor and more memory, slow speed issues should be tamed. In all fairness, Android, will almost certainly be the mainsteam OS for phones. It's Media capabilities are impressive along with the iphone. But for day to day ...

Hey Slammer, have you had any messing around experience with any virtual keyboards? I haven't, and am curious what you think. Probably makes the screen dirty with finger oils constantly performing tasks with fingers.

Most touch screens have the finger oil problem, it's a small price to pay and most times you fail to notice it. there are tons of good on screen keyboards and personally HTC does a good job with the ones they use. swype is a new one also that has a little bit different method, you can use the regular keyboard way or by swyping from one key to the next. makes me feel like Zorro a bit.

Well, I guess the less moving parts the better, I'm referring there being no slideout keyboard being one less moving part.

Nice to see that someone is still up on Phone Scoop on this CES busy news day.
