I assumed this was already happening as I've been installing apps daily and have yet to receive a 'memory full' message. How many apps can you install on the moto DROID? I have about 200 so far..

Nevermind.. I just saw I had 76mbs of internal memory left. Ouch.

No, you couldn't do this already. I believe the Droid has 512 MB of ROM, which is enough for quite a few apps. I've got the myTouch, and its the same ROM. My old G1, however, was much less and would max out at around 40-45 apps. I hate the low-storage warning. The myTouch and G1 can be hacked to store and run apps from the SD card, but it is great news to see that Goog is addressing this needless issue.

Sorry man, I haven't heard one good thing about the Storm aside from the screen. I had a customer come into my store (T-Mo), using the SIM card slot, which is neat. But the phone was junk. Kept giving weird error messages whenever he was trying to view an incoming message. Frankly, I think BB's have gone down hill big time. The hardware has improved, but the software is clunky, awkward, and prone to bugs. My understanding is that the BBs run Linux, and then run a java-based virtual machine inside of that. What an overly complicated mess.

This should've been addressed a while ago! I always prefer to store things on my memory card rather than internal memory.

I've been running apps on my sdcard on my G1 for a while now. But you also have to root your phone. The myTouch is able to do this as well. I recently rooted my Cliq and I know the Droid has root as well.

Gosh, the things you guys can do with your Android devices, it's amazing!!! I'm paying close attention to Android, I will likely be getting an Android device myself sometime this year, I think that living wallpaper is so, so cool & futuristic, and 3D graphics is also cool, but I prefer a device with a real physical keyboard, rather than an all touch device, so I'll see what ATT ends up carrying.

I would think the phone would run smoother with apps stored on a microsd card rather than the internal memory.
