I don't think Apple is concerned at all
The way I see it, Apple has amazing software coupled to what seems to be the some of the best hardware out there. Theoretically the Android platform should be just as smooth and fast if it was run on Iphone hardware...right...? Is it just software that makes the difference? I wonder why the Nexus One or Droid doesn't run as smooth and fast as an Iphone while using WiFi? What I would like to see as the 'true test' is the Android OS run on Iphone hardware. In the end though, I think this will just be like it is in the computer world. Apple devotees need to use them because they are the only things that get the job done. Those in the media and music industry use them exclusively because a PC just can't perform. And in the end an Iphone will be...

I agree that Apple should not be concerned. No phone compares with the iphone (as you say) but this is just another option for those unwilling to crossover to AT&T. If the iphone is a Lexus, some of us have to drive Fords and Chevys.

the iphone is so over rated. Why limit yourself.

mind you the iPhones are running a Samsung built ARM system, running 412-600 MHz. The Nexus is running the new ARM Snapdragon at 1000 MHz. It also has 512 MB of RAM, as opposed to the 128-256 MB the iPhones sport. As long as Google takes advantage of the GPU in the Snapdragon, we should see the Nexus absolutely FLY!

It's slower than the iPhone 3GS. Not significantly, but it's still slower in quite a few regards.

I would rather drive a Ford or Chevy on the Autobahn than a Lexus on a dirt road. And that my friends, is the true comparison.

Yeah, Macs are the only things that get the job done. right... That's why my girl's Mac Mini won't output any audio at all, either through internal speakers or external. How does an audio driver disappear off of a computer? I hate Apple fanboys. Jeez, there are options other than Apple, just so you know. Frankly, I don't need or want an over-priced machine that does the same things as a Linux or Windows-based PC. I'm not saying Macs are awful, its just that they are far from the end-all, be-all of computing. And the iPhone is just more of the same. Sure, they did a spectacular job on the interface. But it hasn't evolved much over the years. Android, however, has gone through a multitude of upgrades and innovations in just over a ye...
