I asked a similar question in the Verizon forum less than a month ago. 🤣 The Engadget review of the Nexus One was kind to the Droid though so maybe there are some things that the Droid does better.

I would love the Xperia X10 with Android 2.1 but I heard it's shpping with Donut ☹️ and it's gonna cost more than the Nexus one

It's a sony.. they're always more expensive.

and anytime you put an overlay over the base UI, you'll slow down development. HTC might be lockstep with stock android soon, but they seem to have a closer relationship with google than other manufacturers do at the moment.

I knew the Passion/Dragon was coming.. I'll keep my droid.

This thing has a faster processor.. Software wise, I'll have my Droid running 2.1 as soon as Verizon releases it, or I'll just root the phone and install it manually.

Seriously... if someone buys a phone and then is suprised that a better one comes out soon after.. they are doing something wrong. If you hold out for the best of ANYTHING, you'll never end up spending a dime.
