Who has the exclusive?

Crunchy Frog

Can we assume that no major carrier has an exclusive on this new Nexus One since Google can sell it unlocked?

If no exclusive, why not launch the device for all 4 major carriers? I know they all want to test the phone first, however it's ready to go for T-Mobile of all carriers and Verizon very soon,
so what about ATT and Sprint?

because att most likely wouldn't sponsor it because it would tick off mommy apple, and for Verizon, it needs to be CDMA (same with Sprint)

Not to mention Tmobile uses a different 3g band than ATT

ATT loses their exclusive on the iPhone early this year so you'd think they'd be looking for alternatives anyway. Not that I care, I just left ATT and took my family with me as we were so tired of network problems and expensive bills.

I've become a huge Sprint fan now as they have the best bang for the buck over any major carrier in the U.S. I am hoping Sprint gets the Nexus One or something very close to it this year.

They can't see that far ahead. Look at even the luke wilson commercials.. ATT has a one trick pony that they're going to ride until they can't do it anymore.

I mean, most of their "better 3g experience" ads are exclusivly talking about iphone benefits (most popular smartphone, more smartphones than anyone, number of apps, etc)

I wouldn't be suprised if sprint got the nexus one.. all they would need to do is let the ESN work on their network and Google could sell an "unlocked" cdma/global? version
