Ballsy post man... ballsy post. I have to say as far as civil rights goes, any republilcan that thinks the republicans have a better record on civil rights over the last 75 years is delusional. And I think we all know that if Lincoln ran today if he didnt run as a democrat to begin with he would be immediately run out of the republican party. "I mean pray humbly that we are on gods side"? Modern republicans, I dont think would be comfortable with that type of humility.

Do you want to know why democrats think of this as a race thing. Its because of the level of rage that is directed at the president is completely not proportional to any of his policies. Many of which were carryovers from republican years.

Its because when the previous republican administration pushed to make it legal to arrest and hold an american citizen indefinitely without use of the legal system for being a suspected terrorist, that was good... but somehow when obama wants to create universal health care (which is totally constitutional) that is somehow illegal and illigitimate.

Its because wire tapping citizens without a warrant is ok, returning the marginal tax to what it was 15 years ago is an insult to our founding fathers.

Any sane person would wonder what is fueling this. because its nto the policies themselves.. which you may agree or disagree with. But, on their own, should not inflame people as much as they do.
