Nokia Beseeches ITC to Ban Apple Products from Europe

I agree it won't happen, but for a different reason. Nokia may even be correct in their claims- but it would create a nightmare.

With the current economic situation in the U.S. we simply cannot afford to have the E.U. off the market for one of our larger companies. Not being able to sell laptops, MP3 players, or phones in the E.U. would devestate Apple. Doing that much damage to an American company would leave our government with little recourse other than to take action that would cause problems for European companies here. Nobody wants a trade war.

I'd guess Apple will end up being told that they have to pay some royalty to Nokia- and it wouldn't shock me to find that the US Congress throws an amendment into an appropriations bill that will give Apple an equal tax write off.
