Second that! The phone is a great device but I wish they would improve the speed. It's not as snappy as the iPhone...

something you guys probably missed was that two backend files that were a part of this update (but not a part of the notes) are laying the foundation for OpenGL (the files weretitled OpenGL). suckas, THAT'S is what is going to make this phone fast.

With 1.3.5 out already I can't WAIT to see what they'll talk about at CES. That video of a supposed Palm employee playing Need for Speed with opengl support on his Pre is starting to look more and more legit.

Be patient, it's coming. SPEEEEEEEEED>>>>>

"not as snappy as the iPhone" really ! you just figure that out?... The question is: How snappy was the iPhone 6 months after launch.3 years ago.

First of all the thing is actually pretty snappy. Reports of its lag are, in my mind; a lot like mark twains death, greatly exaggerated.

Second of all, lets say I'm browsing the internet and get an email that I need to respond to and while I'm responding to that email I need to wikipedia a fact, to include in the email. then also check an address on maps and include it in the email, or send it in a seperate sms. the iphone may be able to do those things individually faster than on a pre, but I guarantee I can do those things together faster on my pre than a snappy interfaced iphone user can.

The more things that need to be done at once, the bigger the speed difference.
