Let T-Mobile get all the latest and greatest new 3G smartphones and maybe they will have someone else's map to use in their commericals.

lol the only way thats gonna happen is if another provider carries the iPhone.

You think iPhone users care about the Xperia? lmao.. Please, a 4G phone with an OLED screen, 8mp camera with Carl Ziess lens and flash, 1080p video capture, 120gb built in hard drive, Android 3.0 with adobe flash could come out tomorrow and the Apple fanboys will still stand by their inferior product. Why? Cause it's Apple.

Yeah I'd have to agree, he has a point. 🤨

And Apple knows this, and this is why they won't release another device. I think Apple would take a dip and it would snap the spell if apple released another type of phone and gave their fans choice.

Apple must be dusting their products with cocaine. Microsoft sucks too, but everything evil Microsoft has done is twice as bad with Apple.

Microsoft "bundles" their own products, Apple programs theirs to block out competitors. Microsoft sells a $100 OS for $200, Apple sells a $400 phone for $800. Microsoft makes an exclusive deal with a several manufacturers, Apple makes and exclusive deal with AT&T AND locks the product so you can't even switch later. Microsoft retroactively disables stolen software via "updates", Apple retroactively disables a phone you PAID FOR via "updates".

And yet all of those Apple douchebag fans still think they own the "hip" product of the people.

Where's the FTC? Where's the DOJ? Busy harassing Micro...

This new generation of consumers is going to eventually find out why Apple's computer market share has always held such a small percentage. Apple's approach with the iphone is almost identical. The iphone has brought something new to the phone industry but it(the iphone)is starting to level out. People want more control of their phones, not less. Android will prevail as the most popular OS. I also predict that WinMo will experience a resurgence with WinMo 7. Even with quirks, WinMo remains very powerful in executing the precision needed for business essentials. Palm's OS also has enormous potential. 2010 will be an interesting year.

Slammer,
While I agree with you on control, unfortunately I don't agree with most people, most people could care less how over bearing and controlling Apple is with their iPhones. They are quite happy with the phone itself.

I don't question the satisfaction level of iphone users Versed. Nor do have issues with the product's quality in general. My main beef is with Apple as a company and its constant historical choice to dictate to its consumers. I feel this seriously fragments the experience a user could further enjoy otherwise. The iphone is most definitely synonymous with popular trend and nothing being quite like it. However, with the quick rise of other devices emerging into the mix, many people still happy with their iphones and potential new iphone buyers, are rethinking their thought process.

The iphone is undoubtedly a great product and I too have entertained the interest in purchasing one. My issue is that once I positioned myself in realizing what...

Yup. You remember the mp3 wars a while back. At one point, Creative had a superior product than the iPod. But we all know who won that war no do we.

Good marketing has something to do with it as well. Look at the Droid on Verizon. I didnt even think it would do as well as did. Sure, it's not topping the iPhone or even coming close but the numbers are damn good considering and I think a lot had to with the "iDon't" campaign.

I think if Spr...
