AT&T Planning to Crackdown On Bandwidth Hogs
STILL NUMBER 2
so they want you to pay your bill but not use there service. must be one of there 100,00...
(continues)
2) AT&T is looking into doing something about users of excessive bandwidth so that people who are tethering their phones to download torrent files aren't keeping YOU from getting your email, browsing the web, etc.
3) Every other provider already kills accounts they view as excessive. If you're consuming 25GB of data a month on a $30.00 data plan I'm pretty sure no provider wants you.
4) Unlike bandwidth caps (which weren't announced but merely implied by the AP), AT&T has been upgrading their network infrastructure (which HAS been announced).
Not if there is a change of service from when you signed, then you can term without paying an etf. While this isn't common, it has happened several times in the past few years with different carriers. There is no arbitration, and all the carriers are aware of it.
They will let you go or Live out your contract.
They CANT change the terms of your contract unless you agree to it.
Whats going to be Hilarious is the 10 year contracts they have were they sold off Bandwith to re-sellers.
Your going to have Joe with "ABC phones" blackbery that has Unlimted Data on his phone and thethering it his laptop sittingr right next to Mike who is watching his "ihpone data meter" hopeing he does not go over again.

So what you're saying is you're a cellular professional, and of course you know how to use as much data as possible.
I'm sure if people are tethering on the $30 plan, any carrier will sniff them out, and force them onto the $60 unlim data & tethering plan. This is the same with every carrier.
