Tethering is not supported on the Pre, never has been either. Sprint has the same policy as AT&T.

It's also possible for Sprint to cancel your service.

"Not supported = you shouldn't do it" in cell phone terms. Just like we're assuming "Make customers aware of bandwidth = cap bandwidth" for AT&T.

Thats not allways the case.....

Stuff like Voip is in a grey area now. ITs possible , but Sprint is not going to help you figure it out , they dont support Voip.

With Thethering , I am sure they would shut you down very fast if they could figure it out.

They have unlmited Data , but they are not going to shut you down for your consuption , they are going to shut you down for how you go about acessing the data.

But that really is the point, its very easy to make it so They cant tell what the phone is doing with the DATA.

If you have epst acess , They cant Tell if your tethering or not.

What you say is very true, but Sprint actually explicitly prohibits tethering as well with their TOS (as does Verizon and AT&T and T-Mo as well.)
