I gotta tell you, when I read the NY Times article (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/10/technology /companies/10iphone.html?_r=1) I thought that it was a joke or a spoof by someone like the Onion.
If this wasn't so damn sad, it would almost be funny....
Verizon, tMobile, Sprint, etc. need not do any negative AT&T ads as they are dooming themselves.

i like att but am in no way a fanboy. i'm still a little in disbelief over this.
how can he presume to say that we are using too much of our UNLIMITED DATA?! from what i understand unlimited is unlimited right? there's no way that i can misinterpret that. so why am i being chastized for paying 30.00 a month to use the data service as much as i want?

Yeah. *Sigh* Me too. It would be too unfair for Verizon to get the iphone. Sort of like the Vikings getting Brett Favre. It will NEVER happen.

Remember when people would sit around and muse, "Boy, the Vikings would be SCARY if they had a good quarterback." What do they say about Verizon? "Yeah, they have THE NETWORK but no cool phones." So now this Droid comes out and I guess it is okay, but I don't want it. I'm hoping the Vphone from Saygus is somehow able to be released but I am not holding my breath. Yeah, Verizon is like the '08 Vikings...just missing that final piece.

Being a die hard Viking fan and living in Saint Paul MN I wont hold me breath on the Vikings becoming champions until it actually happens. Brett Favre is the Shiznit and all, but i've been let down too much in the past, although this does feel like "their year". BTW At&t landing the iPhone made them the superbowl reighning champs for years to come. Enough of all this "does" nonsense. The Droid is just another failed "iPhone killer". Full of iPhone ENVY. So what if a couple things were tweaked, i'm sure Apple has something cooking up and coming out in the next couple months. You really think the 3GS is it? Not a chance, they would be stupid to stop making phones at this point.

Maybe it's my age, but I don't feel the attraction to the iphone. I have an ipod touch and I don't have to pay a monyhly fee on a two year agreement for it. I must have played with the iphone for a whole day and found nothing more to do with it other than pics. I guess I just don't feel the love.
