...how are people supposed to send a report about bad/no coverage when they have bad/no coverage?

In looking at the app after I installed on my iPhone, it would seem that delayed reporting IS possible...

First tap on the Map button brings up the map with your current location, and then you can adjust the map display and set a pin for where the problem occurred and use that pin for the report.

While I realize this app may just be a way of keeping the restless natives quiet (and possibly a better way for AT&T to answer the VZW coverage claims then an actor tossing post cards on a map), I can also see some real potential if the app can be extended to non touch screen devices with GPS.

i sure hope so. but i bet the majority of those with iphones are having a much better experience than the ones that report the negative. the people who have problems are always the loudest.
