Probably a subscription, ppl always complain about those txt to vote subscriptions.

I think that it might have to do with the internet, like when you access the internet it charges you $1.99/mb, I think. Not really sure, but if thats the case well then they should take a look into AT&T because the charge one cent more. It's not just Verizon, don't know why they are singling them out

biggest two 1.99 things I saw:
-People going online to check the weather or something when they don't have a data plan
-People getting Backup Assistant when their phone is not registered online (program is free for myverizon customers, 1.99 otherwise)
-People who let their kids touch their phones.
the FTC is singling Verizon out because they are the big dogs right now and doing so will get these people popular in their home districts.

I have launched the mobile web by accident many times from my phone. And I pay $1.99 every time I do, even if I hang up on it right away. It would be nice to have a 2-second grace period before VZW starts charging me for something I'm not trying to use!

And AT&T does the same thing. I've had to hear customers go on and on about this.

I used to hit the button all the time. As long as I never went past the home screen, I never had to pay.
Also, with practically every new phone, you can rework shortcuts so you can't access mobile web without looking for it in the menu

verizon always manage to add something extra to the end of the bill.
have you guys looked at all the extra stuff they manage to add on?
i used to have verizon and now i don't and when i compare my old verizon bill with my new none verizon bill the extra stuff verizon adds on at the end is crazy.

blah blah!! get a data plan and avoid paying double the rate!! ppl think they can use services for free just b/c it comes with their phone.

when i was with verizon, i would get this charge, but never access the internet ever because i never needed it. it seems like it is a standard charge, but i complained the first time i received my bill and they removed it instantly.
