I can't wait to see the new ATT map where all of the globe is in blue and then shows Verizon's satelitte coverage that is totally blank. Let's see whose map will be blocking the TV set now !!

If its like any that ive used and do use for the Army, have fun with it, trees and buildings kill Sat signal. But great idea, i like it alot. great quick way to increase coverage, unless they charge liek 3$ per minute

Hmm, how is it that trees and buildings get in the way with satelite cell phones, but yet DirecTv works just fine???

because with sat phones you're not walking around with a giant dish on your back, my dad is in Basra, Iraq with the U.S Army and boy sat service sound terrible. when the call drops it sounds like someone hop-scotching down a hallway with sandals 🤣

Like i said trees and buildings butcher sat service, and like he said there isnt a dish, most dishes are put in a clear area of land and whatnot. And again its the Army. lol. And yes walking around will drop you too. plus not sure if the phone will auto do it, we had to put in the country code for where we were calling even usa. 😛

This thing has satellite capability, GSM radios, and Windows Mobile. Can you say "expect trouble"?

I don't think this will be available to the general public. But along the lines of business customers.
And because satellite coverage is only good for 'out in the open' I think this is more of a gimmick right now for ATT.
