Yes, data cards upgrade just like phones, so every 22 mnths in most cases. So if you've had your card for a couple years you should be fine.

its true its $10 extra but the plan becomes unlimited when on 4g so thats good

But with 4G there isn't any evil data limit, so keep that in mind.
