Verizon Challenges Sprint's 'Most Dependable' Ad Claims
What They Need to Do..
Wait...this all sounds a little too familiar! 👀
Sorry Verizon, there's no "map for that." 😎

Verizons 3G network covers more people then Sprints by a long shot. And Sprint is using a 4G service that will be dead in 2 years. LTE is new and what the whole world will use. You little boys need to go away.
Finally someone who gets it! Thank you! Sprint is making a big mistake by not going with LTE. It will cost them dearly. That company is headed in the wrong direction

That MIGHT be they just had their credit rating lowered.
And why their stock is plummeting.
Oops.

Lte and clearwire are two different technologies. clearwire deals with more than cell phones. Its going to change the way we use the internet which is why its called 4g. Instead of looking for a wifi hotspot. the whole city will be a hotspot. therefore your car will be intergrated with the internet which will provide more service. Also plasma tvs will become touch screen internet enabled with the wimax chip. theres alot more ideas out there. U guys dont really know much about clearwire wimax do you? Sprint also said it...
(continues)
there's nothing you can do with wimax that you couldn't do with lte...
let alone the deploiment of lte will lap wimax 5 times over
Coverage does not exist in my market (L.A.) so it might as well be a pipe dream.
LTE is not even finalized yet. Wimax will have a large subscriber base before anyone deploys LTE. All of you hating on Clear/Sprint have never used it. Before Verizon even deploys LTE Sprint will have been selling 3G/4G smartphones. Clear is not just Sprint, there are a lot of big players betting on it. These companies are not stupid.
Is there not room for 2 competing 4G technologies? I thought competition was good. Unless of course you are in Socialist Europe.
In Clear markets that are also Comcast markets, Comcast is reselling Clear's network under their own name.

Uh. No.
Fail. Miserably.

Verizon 4G = non-exisistent (no map for that).
So Verizon does fail miserably

Get back to us when WiMax even covers a considerable part of Sprint's footprint.

see you in 2011 🤣
And hey, more power to Sprint. If they can get WiMax built out fast enough, maybe they can quell that whole losing subscribers thing.

Only Wimax customers are counted as Clear customers, not Sprint customers
Oh, well, there you go, then...
But lets be real shall we? Verizon by the end of next year will have passed Sprint on 4g deployments and have a MUCH MUCH MUCH better technology with LTE. Who is Sprint going to roam off of With Verizon / Alltel going to GSM? Sprint is like the little Down Syndrome boy trying to fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr and Evander Holyfield. They bleed money every quarter, they loose the only meaningful wireless metrics, (church and net post paid ads) and the only reason they even stay relevant is by whoring themselves out by dropping their prices and laying off people every quarter. It isn't superior service, it isn't customer service, it isn't pho...

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.
He's probably some 15 year old with no social life. 🤣
Promised rollout dates that were missed several times, promised data speeds that it took network upgrades to achieve years after the promised 2001 rollout. Why should we trust these people to get 4G right when they could not deliver on the original 3G promise?
Wimax is here today, LTE is still a dream.

You must be on Earth Squared.
When you get back to our planet, read your post again.

So, you think Verizon's network has no room for improvement?
What planet do you live on?

Every carrier could stand to improve its coverage. I opened enough Trouble Tickets in my time in Tech to know that. Sometimes they just shrug and say, "We have the Network Extender or if you don't want to drop two bills and a half on that we'll let you out of your contract.
How often does that happen? Being released from your contract, that is...?
Azeron said:
Usually a person is an existing customer who moves to an area which may be a new development or what have you. If they send a tech out to the address and there proves to be no coverage outdoors with no planned build out they will let you out. They are not going to just do it without sending someone out unless the address is in a known trouble area.
Huh. Interesting. I just contacted Verizon today about my new Samsung flip sending all my calls to voicemail. Where I normally get adequate service, suddenly my phone is getting no bars at all. They're sending me an LG replacement flip Monday.
becuase for me the whole implication of ending contract with etf is based upon address change of no coverage area and from the post it appears that it was just an upgrade with same address kept.
but correct me if i misunderstood.

Everyone could stand to improve their coverage. No one's perfect. But comparing Verizon's network to Sprint's is apples to oranges.

Well, my suggestion is they continue doing that, and forget about challenging Sprint's claim (which is backed up by PC World).

You'll pardon me if I don't believe anyone's claims these days.
