Omnia II and GPS

I just read, and re-read, the news release on Verizon's site and it does NOT specifically say 'GPS'. As with the initial release of the Omnia I, it has VZNavigator capability but...

Maybe, an oversight; maybe, GPS NOT open to non-Verizon apps. Has anyone seen any other Verizon official release that says GPS? 😲

Interesting, everything else is there but no GPS, I hope it was an oversight. I've been waiting for this phone to arrive.

It has both assisted GPS and standalone GPS. I confirmed this with Verizon.

I think the way it works is you have to have a certain level of service and VZNavigator is "opened"...kind of a sneaky way of doing it because you still end up paying for it by having to upgrade your service. Otherwise, you pay for the service separately. Grrrrrr. I hate that about VZ and their stoooopid GPS service! Wake up people!!!!!
