What was wrong with the camera to begin with?

I've heard complaints about it being slow, especially the lag between pressing the shutter and the picture being taken. Other than that, I don't know.

Stop hating on Motorola cause you know you were showing off your StarTAC and RAZR back in the day when you first got it.

At least Motorola is addressing the issue and the Droid is the best thing that has come out of them years. Give them a break. At least it isn't Kyocrap or Pantech were talking about here

The camera is the only really disappointing thing on the Droid.. god i love this phone but the camera on the Samsung Omnia was awesome! (too bad the rest of the phone wasnt!) I have realized that if you turn off the autofocus it takes much better and faster pix!

It amazes me still, that phone manufactures cannot get the camera feature more perfected. IMO, The Palm Pre has come the closest in this measure(while still aways from perfect). There are other bugs in the Droid that are slowly emerging that will need to be addressed before I render an opinion on this motorola product. Other than the bag phones and Brick phones of the past, The Motorola products I have had success with, were limited for IDEN(Non-data). Anything beyond these were idiosyncracies of headaches.

Yes. I owned a Startac 7868W. It was decent. I also owned the Timeport 270C which is still my favorite phone of all time. Unfortunately, I also owned the T720 and T730 both overpriced POS and then there was the V710. Good RF buggy software. Drum roll please...the Silver Q. So after ten or eleven Fru exchanges (I lose count sometimes) I can say the best AND worst phones I ever owned were Motorola phones. Kyocera and Pantech are undoubtedly worse manufacturers but that 2035A that I owned back when I worked for Alltel was pimp when it first came out. 🤣 Anyways...I will always bag on Motorola thanks to the Silver Q. Sue me.

The Droid is experiencing a time of the month? 😳

More like a month of the year. It is twenty-four and a half day cycles. I don't know how I feel about manufacturers being able to push updates to phones without permission though. It seems nefarious.
