I'm curious what the former management of the 5th largest wireless company will do after they successfully sold the company off.

Severence packages are generally very nice if a company is laying you off. Especially if you've been there for a while. Verizon may support them for a year or so.

I love how they say they can apply for other jobs, including in a call center. I can just see their corporate lawyers thinking their best option would be to answer customer service calls.

At least there are still jobs there, and those call centers haven't been outsourced to a different country.

Verizon got rid of some call center workers in Springfield, MO a few months ago. They were part of Alltel. V is slowly getting rid of the Alltel people.
