Even though I don't have T-Mobile, it would really be nice to see them do some expansion here in Michigan. There's a noticeable gap in their 3G coverage by not covering the Grand Rapids market (second biggest in Michigan). If they'd expand their 2G footprint a little bit more, maybe they'd be a little more viable in Michigan too......

I agree! I'm a TMO customer in the Grand Rapids metro area and I'm tired of waiting for them to give us 3G here. My contract is up in 3-4 months and I'm leaving. Not having 3G coverage for second largest city in Mich is just plain stupid.

The bigger picture is that 9 of the 10 largest cities in Michigan are in the Metro Detroit area.

But the second largest city in MI doesn't have 3G, neither does the state capital Lansing (think college students at MSU). All I'm sayin is TMO hasn't shown a desire to expand any of their services in MI. So when contract time is up in a few months I'll explore other options.

The coverage in the whole midwest region is poor. With the exception of a couple cities in each midwest state, the 3g coverage is pretty much absent. In Ohio, cleveland, columbus, dayton, yet they totally overlooked Cincinnati which is the third largest city after columbus and cleveland. They have dayton covered , but that city has 1/2 the population of cincinatti. It seems like cash is tight for them right now and they can't afford expanding except around some metros here.
