Sony Ericsson to Move Headquarters to Atlanta, Cut Jobs
Isn't that sweet?

Actually it was Cingular that was HQ'd in Atlanta. AT&T is HQ'd in Tx.
AT&T's wireless division, however, is still headquartered out of Atlanta as they operate much of that division independently of the rest. I would imagine that is the key to SE's move.

Technically, Cingular is still the parent company. AT&T was purchased by Cingular and then they just used AT&T's marketing name because it had a better reputation.
Cingular was never a parent company to begin with. SBC and Bellsouth were the parent companies. And then SBC absorbed everything in sight and decided that the brand recognition of AT&T was well worth the switch.
Anyway, we're straying from the matter at hand.
