V this AT&T that ..... say what you want V wants the iPhone so bad that it will sell it's soul to the DEVIL !!!!!

If you like your sevice then you LIKE IT, If you HATE your service the CHANGE COMPANY's!!!

No matter what happens Verizon does not and will not let you talk and surf at the same time, so for a company that should be GREAT why not this ( not to add to it the BLUETOOTH lock out that V does on it's customer's WTH ). I want to be on a phone call AND the web at the same time AND while I'm taking a pic and sending it via mms ALL AT THE SAME TIME ! Thats right Verizon CAN NOT and WILL NOT let you do this. Get a phone that works where you are, but if you want to have a network/phone that lets you multi task well... AT&T it is !

Wow! You REALLY wanted to get your point across, didn't you?

You make a strong point, though. Quite valid. As of now, the CDMA carriers do not support simultaneous voice and data sessions. Perhaps in addition to suing Verizon, AT&T should run commercials which stress this fact.

way to go! Pin a CDMA deficiency on the carrier. Why not point out that VZW does not have sim chips.

What will be the excuse once VZW rolls out their LTE? In a year, VZW will likely have better LTE coverage than ATT's 3G coverage. Now that is laughable.

Technically a few CDMA phones do have sim cards...... well kinda sorta.. ( blackberry world edition, just to throw one.... ) Sim cards are nice but coverage wise, cdma is better ( where i live anyway.... about 60 minute drive to get 3g for att but i get grate net speeds with sprint .... and once upon a time alltel.

Screw the iPhone, who wants it now? I think even Verizon sees they have a real jewel device, the Motorola Droid. Any geek would admit it's way better than the iPhone. The iPhone is just a fancy toy that downloads touch screen games and plays music. It's nothing more than a touch screen iPod that makes calls. The Droid is a communication powerhouse! People need to quit compairing to the iPhone, the Moto Droid is now the one people need to be compairing.

Besides, AT&T (at the time Cingular) was the first carrier to have the Motorola RAZR and lots of people wanted the cool new thin phone, but now everybody and their grandma has one even on the cheap carriers. Give it time and AT&T won't be able to brag about their precious iPhone, all...

I want the iphone to be available on Verizon. I don't want a Droid. You think the Droid is the next best thing to sliced bread. I get that. But maybe just maybe the next guy (That would be me) does not. I would never buy the phone and I WOULD buy an iphone if Verizon had one. I should say that the new V phone DOES have me drooling at the possibilities, but if Verizon had the iphone available there is no doubt that I would have purchased two already. Consumers deserve the right to choose WITHOUT having to leave Verizon to get the iphone. You don't like it... Others do. Let us have a shot at it.

well as to the iPHONE i see that NO MATTER the device and NO MATER the name people are always going to compare it to the iPhone. Look at the sales, that alone tells you something. I'd add that if that moto Droid is that good let the sales record show it. Everything droid has is a knock off from the iPhone. Let's wait to see what APPLE and AT&T do next then lets make our phones do the same....BUT lets call it something different. Way to go MOTO and V.

What will you say once the iphone is not exclusive to AT&T? Don't be that clingy chick who thinks the two of you are getting married when Apple is already considering its next conquest. All 89 million or so of them. It's not AT&T and Apple. It's just AT&T. The iphone IS coming to Verizon. It's just a matter of time.

The Iphone will not let you take a picture, surf the web and listen to Pandora at the same time because they block all multitasking unless it is a native app. They also blocked bluetooth profiles on devices that had it (itouch), and they have a record of denying apps, not to mention they lock out anyone from using itunes to sync music from (even DRM free music) which lock people into their program unless you want to go through the hassle and re-import all you music to another player, and accept loosing all your DRM protected content. Talking about locking down a user.

Verizon has phones that support OBEX exchange, welcome to 2006.

As for web/voice at the same time, yes, verizon is not capable of this because EVDO is not capable of th...

I have a feeling that most of you have not check out the Palm Pre. As it stands, I am able to get on the web while making and receiving phone calls. I have not noticed a drop in data speed but I will say that it is possible to view this post while chatting on the phone.

I was not aware that Sprint phones had that capability. Let me see if I understand this... You are able to make a phone call and while on that phone call, surf the web, use GPS navigation etc...?

Wow! If that is the case, Sprint is looking better and better! I've always liked their pricing. Two years ago when I was working for VZW I tried to switch, but they would not let me go month-to month or with a 1 year contract even though I had my own phone. But I still admire them from afar.

i'm beginning to think that you are not alone. The PRE definitely has no issues with this feat and it's just another reason why the PRE is one of the best phones on the market. I've heard other reps say that only AT&T phones do this for quite awhile but recently I haven't heard them say that until this AT&T lawsuit thing surfaced.
