"compatible w/networks operated by ... MetroPCS & Cricket" ??

Based on the spec's, I'd guess this is compatible with VZW/Alltel & Sprint, as well those listed in the article. Am I missing something?

Also, it's already be stated the US Cellular is offering this device.

Just wondering. Was there a reason to call out Metro & Cricket?

Cricket and MetroPCS use the CDMA 1700 band in regions where the larger wireless carriers already have dibs on the CDMA 800 and CDMA 1900 bands. I'm 99% sure that Verizon and Sprint don't have roaming agreements with Cricket and MetroPCS, so there would be no reason for a Verizon or Sprint phone to be CDMA 1700 capable.

I am 100% sure MPCS has roaming agreement with Vz. 😁

Yes, but not vice versa. There is nowhere in the country where, out of necessity, Verizon would need to roam on MetroPCS.
