30 minute dunk into 3 feet of water. Where do they come up with that??? Why do they not just say water resistant???? DUH! 🙄

If you say something is waterproof, you have to define what you mean by "waterproof". It may substantially exceed the spec, particularly when new.

Because a 30 minute dunk is water proof, not resistant. Resistant is that piece of crap Casio watch you used to have...

To meet this criteria it needs to hold its breath for 30 minutes. Still looks like a dolled up piece of garbage that was just released recently.

because the further down you get the less time you have, pressure and whatnot.


if someone throws it into the deep end of the pool and complains it doesnt work after 29 minutes theyre covered.

Only if the pool is 1m deep. Their spec clearly says 30 minutes at a depth of 1 meter. Technically, that means zero minutes at anything over 1m as regards warranty claims.

Also, just in case anyone is thinking along those lines, be advised that 15 minutes at 2m depth is NOT equivalent to 30 minutes at 1m depth. It just ain't that simple, given the nature of the pressure seals themselves.
