Insane to Sell this Worldwide and NOT 3G 850/1900
In north america, if tmob was not going to be the exclusive carrier, why would nokia release it with the 1700 band that nobody else in north america [ or anywhere for that matter uses]. The should have atleast included 1900 3g freq that they use on n85-1/n86-1 . I have a feeling that t-mob was going to get this exclusively but they probably withdrew at the last second. You can bet this will be the last N-series device t-mob will ever be offered.

It's actually a good thing for me. I have CinBell and they use the 1700/2100 bands (for what reason I don't know) so it'll work out for me. I wish they would all just get on the same standard across the US. It would make things a lot easier for us over here.

Then again, Nokia may make a NAM version of this phone, they've done it in the past.

I'm not sure exactly why they started going all 1700/2100. Like you said, it's just a weird band.

T-Mobile customers like myself finally get an option for an unlocked phone that is actually compatible with our 3G network, and yet some of you people, who get tons of these awesome unlocked phones every year that are compatible with AT&T's 3G network, have to whine and complain that 1 particular phone doesn't supports your 3G network. Really? All of you on this topic have to complain about this phone? Seriously? You already have the iPhone 3GS and Xperia X10 coming out soon, yet you must insist on complaining about this phone's lack of 850/1900 3G radios. This is a great call by Nokia to release this phone on the 900/1700 AWS 3G bands. Instead of catering to AT&T customers with ALL of their unlocked phones, they are smart in attempting to e...
