Wow.
I don't have Sprint or Verizon, but that is wrong to do any way you look at it... there should be no ETA fee in the first place, and if there is it should only be $35...
...
So... if a carrier gives you a $300 subsidy on a smartphone for a 2 year contract, and then you bail after 1 month, you're saying that you should only be charged $35? How is that fair to the carrier? Everyone would start ripping them off! You should be liable for the subsidy you received on the phone, minus a certain amount for every month you stayed with them.
...
All a consumer has to do is pay Full Retail price and activate on a Month-to-Month basis. No contract. No ETF. Any questions?
